Ron Castille Productions began in 1984 with the Wednesday Afternoon Fishing Dogfights. Throughout the next 10 years 12 more Afternoon Fishing Dogfight locations were added. With several factors effecting the tournaments currently the Calcasieu River Afternoon Fishing Dogfight is the only one currently operating.
The company expanded in 1985 to include the television fishing program "Fishing Southern Style". In 1987 the company again grew with the addition of a Lake Guerrero fishing and hunting Lodge Campo La Isla while taking on a friend and partner Mike Williams. Mike left the partnership in 2002 but is still one of my closest friends. I lost the lease on Campo La Isla in 2005 but in 2006 began a partnership in the owner of Hacienda Santa Fe also on Lake Guerrero.
The television shows were halted shortly after Hurricane Rita devastated the Lake Charles area. Both programs are scheduled to begin in late spring of 2010.
